Description
With its Stadt.Land.Digital initiative, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection is helping municipalities to develop concrete strategies for their digital transformation. Urban mobility is a critical economic factor for cities and municipalities. Planning smart, effective solutions for urban mobility is an urgent challenge for municipalities in Germany. Smart cities offer intelligent mobility solutions to meet the need for modern and sustainable mobility services. These include, for example, car or bicycle sharing services, platforms or apps for networking different means of transport, or innovative ways of promoting alternative forms of propulsion. The aim is to make cities more sustainable and provide competitive alternatives to private motorized transport.
