In this format, we want to look at the decarbonisation of transport in urban areas from the perspective of the energy industry. While a positive drive is emerging in the energy transition, the transport transition is currently finding it much more difficult to work towards a clear target. What can be learnt here from the energy transition? Which new business areas are key, where opportunities - or even necessities - for new urban alliances arise, also in terms of municipal services of general interest? What do energy suppliers and municipal companies need to prepare for when electrification gets rolling? Is the energy transition perhaps already creating facts that the transport sector will have to deal with?
