Description
"Urban planning as we have understood it so far no longer exists" says Stephan Willinger from the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development. In his lecture, he therefore talks about the new understanding of urban development as co-production, using examples from Germany and Europe. In doing so, he sheds light on mobility in interaction with questions of urban development and urban planning. The lecture provides insights into which new players are currently attracting the interest of urban research, how the ideas and projects of as many players as possible can be incorporated into the concept of urban development, and what the role of administrations should look like in these new constellations.
