Active Mobility. Using smart tools for safe, active mobility in cities

Hardly any other form of mobility allows more flexibility, sustainability and spatial intercation than active mobility. But it is also the most vulnerable form of transportation. Infrastructure and traffic planning therefore aims at safety as a crucial factor to promote active mobility. Now, statisticians only provide accident events, which does not comprehensively identify danger spots. In this session, we will learn how Mobileye's technology makes it possible to detect even near misses and thus decisively refine the planning of e.g. bike lanes. How this data can be used in digital planning tools, what the state of research says about planning and promoting active mobility, and what course the national cycling plan will take, we will then consider in an open discussion.
