Cartken, a San Francisco-based autonomous robotics company, and global automotive supplier Magna announced their cooperation plans in early September. The jointly designed Model C delivery robot is intended to respond to the growing demand for last-mile urban delivery solutions in the future. Currently, the autonomous vehicle is being manufactured at a Magna production facility in Michigan, and further variants of the delivery robot for various applications are already being planned. In the future, they will be able to be used both outdoors and indoors and are equipped with a remote monitoring and control system that enables immediate intervention if necessary.
