The startup Hopper Mobility has received around 1.63 million euros in capital in a recently completed financing round via the private investor network Companisto. Around 310 investors participated in the round. Founded in 2021, the company is developing the covered e-bike HOPPER, which combines the advantages of bicycles and cars. It offers a sustainable and convenient alternative to conventional means of transportation, especially in urban areas.

The HOPPER, approved as a pedelec, can be used both on roads and on cycle paths. The target group includes not only private individuals, but also companies such as outpatient care services, delivery services and craft businesses. Equipped with a solar roof, a patented braking system and an agile design, the e-bike is suitable for year-round use, even in adverse weather conditions.

The fresh capital will be invested in the further development, distribution and scaling of production. In addition to the financial gain, Hopper Mobility will also benefit from the expertise of the Companisto network. “With the HOPPER, we offer a sustainable solution that closes the gap between cars and bicycles,” says co-founder Torben Müller-Hansen.

Hopper Mobility currently has eight employees and relocated its headquarters from Augsburg to Hamburg at the beginning of 2024.
