BMW records strong growth in the first half of 2024
BMW achieved significant sales growth in the first half of 2024. The company scored particularly well in the area of all-electric vehicles: With 179,557 e-vehicles delivered, BMW recorded a 34.1% increase in sales compared to the previous year. Total vehicle sales worldwide rose by 2.3% to 1,096,486 units. The figures underline BMW's strong market position and the growing interest in electromobility.
In addition to growth in the field of electromobility, BMW also recorded success in the upper premium segment. Sales of the BMW 7 Series increased by 22%, and models such as the BMW X1 and BMW 3 Series contributed significantly to the positive overall result.
BMW M GmbH also recorded an increase of 5.1%, particularly due to the launch of the electrified high-performance M5 sedan. The MINI brand also delivered 114,054 vehicles, with new models such as the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman promising further impetus in the second half of the year.
Rolls-Royce strengthened its position in the luxury segment with the Cullinan Series II, while BMW Motorrad delivered 113,072 units.
BMW expects further growth in the second half of the year, in particular due to the market launch of the all-electric BMW i5 Touring and the new MINI models.
