About Henriette Reker
Henriette Reker studied law and subsequently passed her 2nd state examination. From 1990 to 1992, she worked for the Berufsgenossenschaft Holz und Metall in Bielefeld, and from 1992 to 2000 as legal advisor to the regional association of guild health insurance funds in Münster. From 2000, Henriette Reker was the Councillor for Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection of the City of Gelsenkirchen, and from 2010, the Councillor for Social Affairs, Integration and Environment of the City of Cologne. Since October 2015, she has held the office of Lord Mayor of the City of Cologne, in which capacity she is a member of numerous committees, associations and societies. This includes membership of the board of the NRW Association of Cities and Towns.
