About Friedemann Goerl
Friedemann Goerl is a geographer and has been the first person responsible for pedestrian traffic in the city of Leipzig since 2018. Among other things, Goerl is a member of the working group for updating the recommendations for pedestrian traffic facilities (EFA) and the working group for pedestrian traffic of the Research Association for Road and Traffic Engineering. He teaches at the Institute of Geography at Leipzig University as an honorary lecturer on the subject of pedestrian traffic. Previously, he worked as a traffic planner for cycling in the city of Chemnitz.
